katherineTwenty-nine years ago I was a passenger in a vehicle accident that left me with compound femur fractures in both my left and right legs. For 28 years, I struggled with finding a workout routine that was very low impact, worked every muscle within my entire body, and pain free. I found such a workout here at BARRE bodies! Vicki, Ashley and Elicia are AWESOME! They are so accommodating to all of my physical needs. They ensure that every position on the pilates machine is customizable to my physical situation. I spent 28 years never being able to find an exercise that would allow my left leg to become the same strength as my right leg. But within 6 months of doing pilates a minimum of 2 times a week, not only is my left leg the same strength as my right leg but I have also increased the resistance level of the springs for both left and right leg exercises!
I am in the best physical shape I have ever been in. And best yet - I am pain free after each pilates class. I will be forever grateful for Vicki, Ashley and Elicia! It is without a doubt in my mind that anyone who has a physical limitation should give Pilates a try! |

jamieI am a huge fan of the Pilates Reformer classes at Barre Bodies. Unlike some of the other workout programs I have tried in the past, this is something I always look forward to doing. The sessions are challenging and they provide a great total body workout, but the instructors keep it fun at the same time. There is so much variety to the classes that the time just flies by. It is a great combination of building strength, stretching, improving balance and coordination, and an overall mood booster.
I have been known to encourage my friends and family to try it because I know they will love it as much as I do. At first, they are usually intimidated by the idea of it because they just don’t know what to expect. But once they get there, the instructors immediately put them at ease. They are so attentive to everyone’s individual fitness levels and do a great job of providing a personalized experience even though it is a group class. I’ve had my daughters and my mother join me so it is definitely something that can be enjoyed by a variety of age levels. |
JOYI have attended many barre classes in the cities and they can't compare to Barre Bodies in Sartell. My experience at Barre Bodies with the staff and clients has been fullfilling, warm, welcoming and fun! I immediately felt like part of the group.
The instructors are all very knowledgeable and do an incredible job! They make sure that they know if you have any injuries or sensitive areas and provide modifications so you have a great workout without re-injuring anything. They emphasize that everyone's body structure, range of motion and flexibility is different and provide options so that each of us gets an awesome workout. Thank you everyone at Barre Bodies! |

How refreshing to attend a group exercise class and feel like you are the sole participant! Vicky provides exercise level options throughout the workouts to ensure participants do not overexert and injure themselves. She wants us to listen to our bodies and work at our own pace. Vicky's encouragement, consistent direction and positive reinforcement during exercise sessions produce an excellent workout and results we can see and feel in our bodies. Women's bodies and metabolism change throughout the years. The exercise classes instructed by Vicky address these. This is no easy task. Retaining muscle mass, bone density and core strength are key elements achieved through her classes. |
LoisVicky has been my “reformer” coach for over 10 years now. In my opinion, there is nothing that works your entire body from head-to-toe like the reformer can. Plus, it can reach muscles deep within (that you never knew you had!). Because the reformer is so versatile (with over 200 possible exercises), Vicky custom-tailors my workout to hit my problem areas or she can change it up to hit every major muscle group. The reformer is also great when you are trying to recover from injuries (and I’ve had several!). Every move can be modified (the spring load can be lightened and gradually increased) to help you make progress in a safe way.
In closing, Vicky is the best class instructor I have ever had. Over the years, she has taught a wide variety of classes and she always delivers a tremendous and tough workout. She just makes you want to work hard each and every time. |
AshleyI am beyond thankful to have stumbled upon barre classes in 2013. It's a great low impact exercise that really challenges your muscles. The only obstacle you need to overcome is what your mind tells you, you can't do.
Barre has sculpted my body in way I didn't think my body could look. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve posture, sculpt and define their muscles, or simply to add a different style work out to their regimen. Vicky and the girls at Barre Bodies are truly amazing in what they do. (Ashley loves the barre and reformer so much that she is now a certified and dedicated instructor for both here at Barre Bodies!) |
